decided last night to go for a picnic. so this morning i woke up and took off at 10:30 a.m. went and picked up Smita and went to Vipin and Neetus place. Rajeev was going to join us there after his practise. the first beer went in at 11:15. I wish i had taken my car but its a little small for 5 people. so we were all in Rajeevs car. we drove on kanakpura road and the plan was to go to bheemeshwari. the drive was brillant. not too many people and the roads were brillant. i was trippin on the steely dan cd playing. i was slamming down the beers. we reach bheemeshwari and i scouted around for a place. found this really nice spot. it was right next to the cauvery river. there was a tree with a little bit of sand and some rocks and the river was flowing past. hunger was coming super quick even thought we were sending chaklis and peanuts. we unpacked the nandhini's biryani and that went down super quick. we sat around for a bit after that and just talked about stuff. it was a nice day. i think my favourite element is 'water', i have this thing for 'fire' but naaa 'water' makes me calm.
it was also nice being with people i have known so long. just hanging around.
now i sit in my room. just read a couple of chapters of The Kite Runner. so far its been a good book. very smooth. i dont ever want to be like Amir, i dont ever want to let my friends down. i hope he gets the balls to stand up to for people he cares about, as the book progresses. i hope he does.
tomorrow back to the grind.......
